Easy Groceries
In this project, I developed Easy Groceries, an online grocery shopping platform that integrates back-end database systems with front-end interface design. The application features fully responsive layouts, a customer account system, and a functional payment workflow. To achieve this, I applied my knowledge of SQL, PHP service integration, the Foundation library, Sammy.js, JavaScript, and jQuery to build a cohesive and data-driven e-commerce experience.

During the development process, my primary focus was on integrating user interface design with a clear and efficient user experience. As an e-commerce platform, intuitive navigation and quick access to product categories were essential. I structured the interface to allow users to browse, filter, and locate items with minimal friction.
Another key component was the implementation of the shopping cart system. I designed and developed this feature to accurately manage selected items, calculate totals, and maintain consistency throughout the purchasing process. This required careful coordination between front-end interactions and back-end data handling to ensure reliability and accuracy.
In addition, I established typography and visual hierarchy to support readability and ensure that product information is clearly presented across different screen sizes.
For the interface colour scheme, I selected a monochromatic green palette as the primary visual identity, complemented by light grey and white. Green is commonly associated with freshness, health, and natural products, making it well-suited for a grocery shopping context.
I used white and grey tones to convey simplicity and clarity, allowing product images and information to remain the visual focus. This approach avoids heavy or dark backgrounds, which are less common in e-commerce environments, and instead emphasizes a clean and accessible interface that enhances the overall shopping experience.
